Canvas offset clips or clasps, are fittings used to attach canvas strainers or stretchers into frames when the stretcher protrudes out the back of the frame. They do so in a non invasive way, by screwing only into the frame & holding the strainer in place only by the gripping force that is applied when they affixed. This means there are no screws or staples sticking into the picture itself.
They are however cumbersome to use, & become quite visible from the side of the frame, if you walk by it with your head close to the wall.
