Flexi Points are thin metal ”pins” that are fired into the back of a frame to facilitate the easy removal of the backing in order to change the picture. They come in several sizes and are sold in boxes of several thousand, depending on size.

The points are fired into the back of the frame by a flexi point driver gun, that is generally pushed hard up against the inner edge of the moulding and triggered. This is usually done after the backing, glass and mat have been inserted.

When it comes time to remove the backing & glass package from the frame, the points are bent up by fingernails or fingers. This then leaves the separate parts to be easily disassembled.
