Overview.
This segment of the website is designed to provide basic information as to how to complete the necessary tasks to make a finished frame from what kit frame delivers. The information has been split into 6 basic categories of, frame choice, measurements, frame finishing, hinging, assembly & hangers.
This brief tutorial is not by any means all there is to picture framing, or the only way to get a job done. It has been made to provide a few tips to those of you that have limited experience, though still want to give Kit frame a try.
If you are having slight difficulty following these steps, or are unsure of our concepts in any instance. Please call us or let us know.
If you are having real difficulty in understanding what we are saying. You should probably get you pictures framed in full, by a complete service picture framer.
A little more detail.
Each sub section will begin with an overview, much the same as this page has. This will include the general gist of the page, & should indicate if this is something you need to know.
From there on in, there will be sub sections that you may, or may not find useful. Keep in mind this is a general source of information that may not involve the type of job you are having done. Feel very free to browse until you find something you find useful. This is not a text book.
We have kept everything as brief as we can to lower file sizes & shorten reading times. If you require more information than this, there are several comprehensive picture framing books & courses available.
